Turn Mermaid into a diagram you can edit

Paste a Mermaid sequenceDiagram, erDiagram or flowchart below. It becomes a diagram you can drag, restyle and annotate, and it stays editable as YAML.

Converting sample...

Why convert instead of rendering

A Mermaid renderer draws the diagram the text describes, and you change it by changing the text. After converting, you can also move a box by hand, add a note next to a step or draw an arrow Mermaid has no syntax for. An erDiagram becomes table cards with typed columns and keys, and a sequenceDiagram becomes lifelines with sync and async messages.

Keep it next to the rest of your docs

Save the result to a free ArchDocs account and the tables and services in it can become shared objects, referenced from your other diagrams and design docs.

Questions

Which Mermaid diagram types work?

sequenceDiagram, erDiagram, flowchart and graph. Class, state, Gantt and the other Mermaid types are not supported, and the converter says so instead of guessing.

What happens to syntax the converter does not support?

It is dropped and listed under the diagram, for example autonumber or box grouping in a sequence diagram. Nothing is dropped without a note.

Is my Mermaid sent anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser.
