Members and teams
Invite colleagues when they need to work in the same organization. Use teams to group spaces in the sidebar.
Viewing members and teams requires members:read and teams:read. Sending invitations and changing roles requires members:manage. Changing teams requires teams:manage.
Choosing a role on Users also requires roles:read. The team member picker needs members:read to list people you can add.
Invite a member
- Open the organization name in the sidebar, then select Organization Settings > Users.
- Select Invite User.
- Enter the person's Email and choose a Role. See roles and permissions before granting administrative access.
- Select Send Invitation.
ArchDocs sends the invitation by email, and it expires after seven days. The recipient must accept it using an account with the invited email address. You can't invite someone as Owner.
Free organizations can have three members. Team and Business organizations need a purchased seat for each member. When you send an invitation, pending invitations that haven't expired count toward your seats. Plans and billing covers seat requirements.
Manage invitations and roles
Under Pending invitations, check the Expires date. Resend sends a replacement link with a new seven-day expiry; the old link stops working. Revoke cancels the invitation. Accepted and expired invitations don't appear in this list.
To change an existing member's role, choose a role in their Role dropdown on Users. The change applies as soon as you select it. This control can't change the organization's Owner or assign Owner to another member.
Group spaces with a team
Teams don't restrict access to spaces or documents. Adding someone to a team doesn't grant a different organization role.
- Open the organization name in the sidebar, then select Organization Settings > Teams.
- Select New team, enter a Team name, then select Create. For example, Lanefold, a fictional freight company, could use an Infrastructure team to group its spaces.
- Select the team name to expand its members.
- Choose an existing organization member in Add a member, then select Add.
Use the pencil icon beside a team to rename it. The remove icon beside a member removes them from that team, not from the organization.
The trash icon beside a team opens a confirmation dialog. Selecting Delete removes the team and its memberships. Spaces and documents remain, with their team grouping removed.
