Publish a space

A public space link lets someone outside your organization browse a whole space, such as Booking Platform. They can open its documents from that link.

Publishing is available on every plan and requires spaces:manage.

  1. Open the space. In its header, open Space actions and select Share space.
  2. Review the list of documents and objects that publishing will expose. The dialog also shows how many attached documents will be exposed and how many private documents are excluded from the lists.
  3. Turn on Public.
  4. Select Create link, then Copy link beside the new URL.

Anyone with the link can browse the space without signing in. The public view groups document cards by folder and includes the space's objects. Readers can open documents, including documents attached to objects, in a read-only view.

Check what becomes public

Publishing includes both Organization and Public documents in the space. It also exposes the space's objects and their non-private attached documents. You don't need to make each document Public separately.

New documents added to a published space follow the same rule. Before moving more work into Booking Platform, check whether it belongs in the public view.

Private visibility excludes a document from the public document lists and blocks visitors from opening it directly, including a document attached to an object. It doesn't hide the object itself. Folders with no visible documents are omitted from the public document list.

Private documents can still show up inside public diagrams that reference them; see visibility.

If you only need to share one document, create a document link instead. Embedding a diagram also requires a document link; a space link doesn't supply embed snippets.

Space links created here don't expire. Revoke link disables the selected URL without affecting other links to the space.

Turning Public off stops access through every space link. It doesn't revoke those links: turning Public back on makes unrevoked links work again.

Previously loaded views and cached responses may remain visible after you revoke a link or turn Public off.

Unpublishing a space doesn't disable separately created public document links. Check those too if you want to stop all public access to a document.
