Cursor setup
Add this entry to .cursor/mcp.json in your project. If the file already has servers, add archdocs inside its existing mcpServers object:
{
"mcpServers": {
"archdocs": {
"url": "https://api.archdocs.io/mcp"
}
}
}
For access across projects, use the mcp.json file in the .cursor directory in your home folder instead.
Sign in
Open Customize in Cursor's sidebar and find the MCP server list. Enable archdocs and follow its sign-in prompt. Complete the ArchDocs browser flow, then return to Cursor.
Cursor supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth with PKCE. ArchDocs supports dynamic client registration, so the URL entry is sufficient for the client to begin authentication.
Check a read
In Agent, ask:
Use ArchDocs to call list_spaces and list_docs. Show the results without changing anything.
Expand the tool response and check that the documents belong to the organization you intend to edit. See the connection guide for the current organization default.
Configuration and authentication were checked against the official Cursor MCP documentation on 2026-10-23.
