Ask AI
For questions about which services depend on an object or where a document describes a system, open Ask AI.
Ask AI requires the Team plan or above and ai:use.
- Select Ask AI in the sidebar to open Ask your architecture.
- Enter a question with the service or document name. Someone at Lanefold, a fictional freight company, might ask "What depends on Dispatch Service?"
- Select Ask, or press Ctrl+Enter on Windows or Cmd+Enter on Mac.
- Open the links under Sources to check the documents and objects retrieved for the question.
Ask AI doesn't remember earlier questions, so name the object or document again in a follow-up.
What the answer covers
Ask AI reads objects, recorded dependencies, document descriptions and text drawn on diagrams. It only searches and reads documents you can open. Check the sources before acting on an answer. A dependency that isn't documented won't appear in it.
Ask AI doesn't change documents or objects. To draft something for the canvas, use Generate a diagram with AI. The objects and references guide explains how recorded relationships connect the diagrams.
Credits remaining appears below the answer. Questions use the organization's shared AI credits, even if the response can't answer the question. If the panel asks you to slow down, wait before submitting again.
